| Logs for the bases are chosen
for their individual character. Most have "imperfections" which
oftentimes are a result of disease or early damage to a tree. What we
look for are unusual knots and color, and root or limb patterns that
have a unique appeal.
The lamp is accentuated with other gifts from nature such as deer
antlers, pine cones or rocks. Note how the antlers seem to gracefully
embrace the log pedestal.
Finally, a shade that compliments our lamp is a critical part of
the entire arrangement. In this case, we used a shade that
displays a magnificent view of elk and pine trees. |
