Montana Original Creations™ is a family owned and operated small business, and is the result of a thirty-year passion giving birth to the "American Dream".  Founded by Tom and Lori Heatherington, and located in the spectacular Flathead Valley of NW Montana.  Our appreciation of this natural beauty in which we live is reflected in each creation we assemble. 

How it Began

After moving to Montana, we were discouraged to find that it was difficult to find the kinds of quality products we were looking for to decorate our home.  Tom had been crafting one-of-a-kind creations and selling them through stores and word of mouth for almost three decades (see more of his work here).  After he completed Lori's list of custom fixtures, he continued crafting pieces for friends and neighbors.  After a while, the idea of making this a business seemed only natural.

Not to be outdone by her husband, Lori has an unusual flair for decorating.  She began assembling gift baskets for family and friends and filling them with distinctive made-in-Montana items.  In no time, she was being asked to send her baskets to people all over the country.  Lori's unique gift baskets are brimming with goodies from huckleberry jams, candies, gourmet coffees, and countless other "made in Montana" delights.  Her famous gift baskets are the perfect solution for:

• Realtors - welcome clients to their new homes
• Businesses - as a thank you for special clients and customers
• Relatives - send a part of Montana to out-of-state friends and relatives
• Everyone - nothing says "you're special" as well as a basket of exceptional treats assembled from Montana's bounty of delectable delicacies

We work with our hands and our hearts and almost everything is made by hand - one piece at a time.  We receive great joy from our creativity and originality and would love to share our work with you and your loved ones. 

Oh, and about those motorcycle pictures above . . . we are avid motorcyclists, and will tell anyone that there is no finer scenery in America than right here at home.  NW Montana should be seen looking out over handlebars.
