About Tom
According to Tom, his past isn't nearly as
interesting as where he finds himself today. When asked about his
professional background, Tom brushes aside his earlier
accomplishments as if they were of no importance. However, many would be
surprised to learn that Tom co-founded one of the first Internet ISP's in
the country in 1993 and was an Internet consultant for years after the dot-com bubble
burst. Along with his beautiful wife and partner Lori, they authored
"The Complete Small Business Internet Guide" that was published by
Macmillan. This was one of the first important Internet books to gain
attention by the media and the business community. Prior to that, he spent
almost two decades in the wireless communications business, attended
College of the Albemarle in NC and is a Vietnam Navy veteran.
Like the rest of us, Tom
worked to produce an income and raise his family, but his extracurricular
activities of building furniture, metalworking, painting and carving continued to be
his underlying passion. Few of us stay obsessed with a hobby for
thirty years, but Tom has been crafting one-of-a-kind creations and
selling them through stores and word of mouth for almost three decades.
Shown below are a few pictures of some of his wide-ranging work.
